In general, the price of ebooks on Sony Reader is more expensive compared to the Kindle. You can find its ebook store here:http://ebookstore.sony.com
I love my Kindle 2 very much. Between the Kindle and the Sony Reader, I’ll suggest you to go for the Kindle instead of Sony. The Kindle is better because it has free wireless and text-to-speech function. There are more ebooks you can find available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are quite a lot cheaper too. And in case you don’t know, Amazon has recently put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support… So take the chance if you want it.

In Sony you can read pdf and other format but not the proprietary format of kindle. i would suggest to switch to kindle because the books are quite cheaper and there are many books available . I would suggest to read this article here they have nicely described the things which are necessary to understand

I’ll suggest you to get the Kindle instead of the Sony Reader. There are much more selection of books, and books on it are cheaper on the Amazon Kindle too.

I own the Kindle 2, and it is easy for me to say I love it! I think I’ve read over 20 books so far.
I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve a lot on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I’m waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like that is simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can “read” books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I’ve myself busy on some boring things, say when I’m on the step machine or doing some housework…
I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really like reading books… Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don’t feel tired.

Yes, the Sony website has ebook store. But there are less selection compared to the Kindle store.

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complain that it is difficult to find suitable books.
And the main problem is that books on Sony Reader are much more expensive than that on the Kindle (tips: if you’re outside the U.S. all the Kindle books you see will have a price of US$2 added. But if you choose to download to computer when you check out, the $2 will be waived. So you can get the books US$2 cheaper even if you’re outside the United States, and you can copy the books to your Kindle through USB cable). And many Kindle books, magazines and newspapers are cheaper than the actual paper version. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access (now available internationally in many countries), and the text-to-speech function.

No kindles are like $2.00 LESS than sonys reader. Its easier to find amazons than sonys because sonys is alot smaller library. The kindle is alot better i got the amazon kindle 2 for christmas glad i did not get sonys
