ebook reader

I аm looking іntο a Sony Ebook reader. Cаn someone tеƖƖ mе іf thе books frοm google books аrе limited previews οr thе entire book?
Ok, thаt ехрƖаіnѕ іt. I wаѕ trying tο ԁесіԁе іf thе Sony reader іѕ worth іt without having tο рυrсhаѕе аƖƖ οf thе titles. Google seems tο hаνе very few choices іn thе Public Domain section аѕ opposed tο аƖƖ οf thе books wіth limited reviews.
THANK YOU!! Thаt wаѕ very helpful

For Google books that are in the public domain, you can get the entire book. But actually there are other place like this website, which provide a lot of free books readable on ebook readers like Sony Reader or Amazon Kindle:

I’m not sure if it helps, but I’ll suggest you to go for the Kindle instead of Sony Reader. The Kindle is better because it has free wireless and text-to-speech function. There are more ebooks you can find available for the Kindle, and books on the Kindle are quite a lot cheaper too. There are some good comparison between them here:

And in case you don’t know, Amazon has recently put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support… So take the chance if you want it.

    Hope it helps :)

They are the entire book. Google Books aims to make all public domain book content free to everyone via the internet.

(You will have to pay for copyrighted books though)

Yes, for books with copyright, you can only preview it but not reading the entire book. There are quite a lot of free ebooks here where you can put onto the e readers to read:

However, I’ll say the Kindle 2 instead of Sony Reader. Read here to know more:

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complain that it is difficult to find suitable books, and books on it are more expensive than the Kindle. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function.

    Hope this helps.

Only books in public domain will be allowed for download. It may not be necessary to go for Google books. There are some websites that provide free ebooks in public domain too. I see other people has mentioned about them.

I’ll choose the Amazon Kindle over Sony Reader without a thought.

Read here and you’ll know, it is written by a person who has tried a number of ebook readers including the Kindle and the Sony Reader. It is also the best review I’ve ever read:
